It has been about nine months since Rosebank Toastmasters has been steered by a committee of incredible women. At the helm is President Lindokuhle Nkosi. Our Vice President of Education is Pontso Pitsi, Vice President of Membership is Anke Stow and Vice President of Public Relations is Maliile Ramashamole. Immediate Past President Selinah Seipei has also been a vital part of the team. The commitment that this group has displayed throughout the nine months has been remarkable.
The last event on 24th March 2022 was testament to their tenacity. On this night, everything that could go wrong, went wrong. It felt as though technology was working against the committee. However, at every disastrous step, each committee member would device an alternative plan to keep the show going. At the end of the night, two prepared speakers delivered their speeches successfully, table topics took place and evaluations were provided to role players. It was a success against all odd.
As the saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work. We have seen it at Rosebank Toastmasters. The committee have about three more months in their current roles. We wish them strength for the last stretch. We would like to encourage other members to consider joining the committee. This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills. Toastmasters offers the safest place to grow because #everymembermatters.
